CDA Announces Open Trials for Ramzan Talent Hunt Cricket Tournament

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced open trials for its Ramzan Talent Hunt Cricket Tournament 2026, inviting aspiring cricketers to showcase their skills and compete for selection.

The Directorate of Sports & Culture, under the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, will conduct the trials at two venues over three days.

According to the official announcement, teams for the upcoming Ramzan tournament will be selected from these open trials.

The women’s trials are scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the CDA National Cricket Ground. Officials stated that the trials may also serve as a potential pathway for players to earn a place in the CDA Women’s Cricket Team.

The men’s trials, which were initially planned earlier, have been rescheduled due to weather conditions. They will now take place on Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Diamond Cricket Ground in G-8/2 Islamabad.

All participants are required to bring their original Form-B or Smart National Identity Card, along with two recent passport-sized color photographs on the day of the trial. CDA officials have emphasized that Form-B will be preferred over CNIC for verification purposes.

The Ramzan Talent Hunt Cricket Tournament is part of CDA’s broader efforts to promote sports and provide opportunities for emerging players to compete at an organized level during the holy month.
