Prime Video will be streaming the upcoming 2026 anime The Ghost in the Shell, Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken, and From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II. The announcements were originally made at the Prime Video Presents: International Originals event in London.

From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II, an adaptation of the fantasy light novel series written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima, will premiere on the platform in July. It was previously announced that its TV broadcast premiere would happen in that same month.

The Ghost in the Shell, a Science Saru-produced adaptation of Shirow Masamune‘s cyberpunk manga that hews closer to the source material’s character designs than previous anime, also had July 2026 announced as its TV broadcast premiere window. Deadline and Variety report that Prime Video has an early exclusive window for The Ghost in the Shell in Japan, and that the platform won’t stream the show in Russia and China.

Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken, a new adaptation of the post-apocalyptic martial arts manga written by Buronson and drawn by Tetsuo Hara, will skip mainland China as well, says a press release.

A separate press release for From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II‘s acquisition shares that the first season, which aired in 2025, made it to the top 10 on Prime Video “across 45 countries.”
