Celebrities let loose after dark in new series TONIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

Premiering in March, Tonight At The Museum is filmed inside the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, with comedian Alex Lee hosting a rotating lineup of four celebrity guests each episode.

Across the eight episode season, players tackle a string of offbeat challenges using real objects from the museum’s collection, from decoding animal behaviour to bluffing their way through improvised guided tours of artefacts they have never seen before.

The guest list pulls together a stacked comedy lineup, led by British favourite Alan Davies, alongside Australian names including Zoë Coombs Marr, Peter Helliar, Luke McGregor, Nazeem Hussain, Steph Tisdell, Merrick Watts and Claire Hooper.

The competition goes beyond laughs, with the ultimate winner earning the honour of having an item of their own placed on display at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, joining the collection they have spent the night gleefully dissecting.

Executive producer Josh Martin took to LinkedIn to say the series was a joy to bring to life, thanking the ABC for backing an original local format and praising the cast and crew for their creativity and commitment.

“Huge thanks to the ABC for backing a small Aussie production company with an original format.”

Commissioned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the series is an i8 Studio and ABC co production, with Josh Martin and Adam Liaw serving as executive producers.
