Quetta Gladiators have bolstered their bowling lineup for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) season with the direct signing of an Australian left-arm fast bowler Spencer Jonshon.
Regarded as one of the quickest left-arm pacers in world cricket, Spencer Johnson has built a reputation as a T20 specialist since making his international debut in 2023. He has since featured in several franchise leagues across the globe, impressing with his high-speed deliveries and ability to strike at crucial moments.
His international breakthrough came during Australia’s T20 series against Pakistan in November 2024, where he claimed eight wickets in three matches, showcasing his growing influence in the format.

Spencer Johnson later suffered a back stress fracture, which sidelined him for the entire 2025–26 Big Bash League season with Brisbane Heat and also ruled him out of Australia’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad. The setback followed a memorable 2024 BBL campaign in which he played a pivotal role in Brisbane’s title win and earned Player of the Final honors.
Now set to return to competitive cricket, Johnson will look to make an impact with Quetta Gladiators as they prepare for the upcoming season. He joins Abrar Ahmed, Usman Tariq, Hasan Nawaz, and Shamyl Hussain in Quetta’s evolving roster.
The franchise hopes the addition will provide extra firepower and depth to their pace department ahead of PSL 11.
