Are you dreaming of palm-lined beaches, sunset cocktails, and spontaneous tropical getaways? Well, South Australians now have one very good reason to start checking flight dates. Indonesia AirAsia has announced it will ramp up its Adelaide to Bali service from four flights per week to daily flights from March 21st. To make it even better, they’re celebrating the milestone with an epic Bali sale.
Running until February 15th, there are one-way fares starting from just $185, giving travellers far more flexibility thanks to the daily flights. If you’re looking to squeeze in a long weekend, book a last-minute escape or head on a bigger Southeast Asia adventure, this is totally your moment.
The move comes in response to strong demand from South Australian travellers since AirAsia launched services out of Adelaide in June last year. The daily flights will be operated by a 180-seat A320-200 aircraft, creating an additional 56,000 visitor seats per year through Adelaide Airport.
The daily service also opens the door to AirAsia’s extensive network of more than 130 destinations across Asia and beyond. Travellers can connect easily through Denpasar to spots around Indonesia and Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Korea, Japan, and India. It also makes continuing onward from Bali incredibly cost-effective, with popular add-on destinations like Jakarta, Bangkok, Phuket, and Komodo Island within easy reach.
The increased frequency also strengthens one-stop connections for visitors from Asia into South Australia through Bali, supporting inbound tourism and making Adelaide even more visible on the international travel map.
These new daily flights mean fewer compromises, better prices, and far more ways to say yes to a Bali escape. So if you’re thinking of heading away, AirAsia is making it easier than ever, and with fares from $185, these deals are not ones to pass up.

Glam Adelaide’s Top Tips For An Easy Bali Getaway
Glam Adelaide’s CEO Kelly Noble LOVES Bali. She’s taken dozens of trips there over the years, starting with memorable family trips as a kids (think, Hey Jude karaoke moments), group holidays with friends, her hens, wedding, and honeymoon, plus countless adventures with her husband and two teenage kids, who have been going there since they were babies. In short, she’s the person we ask for advice when the rest of us travel to the ‘Island of the Gods’. So when this incredible sale popped up, we knew Kelly was the person to ask for her tips and trips to make this holiday your best one yet!
Get your paperwork together early and double-check passports
Before you book anything, make sure every passport has at least six months’ validity remaining from your return date.
When heading to Bali, each traveller needs to fill out one main online form. If Bali is on your family holiday list, the All Indonesia form combines customs, immigration and biosecurity into one process. It needs to be filled out for all family members, including kids and babies.
Plan transfers before you land
Traffic can be unpredictable and chaotic. Pre-arranged airport transfers will save time and stress, especially after a long flight with kids or on short trips.
Bucket list dining that’s actually worth it

The Cave Bali
The Cave Bali restaurant is incredible, but go during the day. The experience is the same as a night, but less busy. After lunch, head upstairs to The Edge for cocktails, ocean views and chilled beats.

Save Dr Ari in your phone

Dr Ari is a 24-hour callout GP service covering Sanur, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and Ubud.
Phone numbers: +62 812 3954 567 or +62 812 3924 814.
Callout fee is around 500,000 rupiah. A Bali belly injection is roughly 300,000 rupiah, but you may need two injections and oral medication. Prices can vary.
Tips for avoiding Bali Belly
Take probiotics one to two weeks before travelling and take Travelan before every meal. Get vaccinations up to date and always double-check medical advice with your GP before you leave.
Make sure to always wash your hands and avoid drinking the water.
Best family day out hack
Hire a private driver and head on an Ubud cooking day that’s fantastic and affordable, around $35 per adult and $25 per child for the class, with an additional cost for the transfer. Everything is organised for you, and it’s relaxed and flexible. Plus, you’ll be able to check out the markets, grab a bite to eat and explore Bali like a local.
Don’t mess around with bug bites
Protect against mozzies properly. Australian-owned, female-led brand Vanilla Mozi is a gentle, effective repellent that is family-friendly. It’s a nice-smelling lotion rather than a spray, and it’s great for kids who don’t like the smell of your typical bug repellent sprays. Plus it works a treat!
Choose the better ferry
If heading to the Gili Islands or Nusa Penida, choose a ferry that uses a proper wharf. BlueWater Express from Serangan is less crowded and much calmer than cheaper alternatives. Also means you don’t have to drag your luggage through the water or beach. Plus, these usually come with air conditioning, so it makes the journey just that bit nicer.

Consider going private for snorkelling or boat tours
Booking your own boat for snorkelling tours is surprisingly affordable when you compare prices for a family on a group tour. You’re guaranteed a seat, it’s far more relaxed, and you avoid the chaos of packed tourist boats. We found this to be a game-changer with little kids – and it gave us way more flexibility with shore time and stops for snacks.
