Titan Manga has unveiled an exclusive look at the upcoming fifth volume of Yako Gureishi’s Somali and The Forest Spirit manga series. Volume five will be released in English print and digital format on April 28, 2026.
Titan Manga describes the fifth volume of the fantasy manga series as:
In Somali and the Forest Spirit Volume 5, Somali and her Golem father’s journey takes a dramatic turn as they venture into the lawless city of Arishikka, where danger lurks at every corner. While searching for clues about Somali’s lost family, they meet Shizuku, a fellow traveler with her own questions. In this chaotic city, the truth about Somali’s identity is finally revealed, and her Golem companion’s motivations become clearer.
This volume delves into the heart of the story, recounting the pivotal moment of their first meeting and shedding light on the mysterious bond that has kept them together. As the duo face both external threats and internal questions about their relationship, Volume 5 explores identity, family, and the meaning of companionship in a world where trust is scarce, and survival is a daily struggle.
Gureishi serialized the manga in Tokuma Shoten’s Web Comic Zenyon online magazine from April 2015 to October 2019. The series then went into hiatus, before ending on December 22, 2020 due to Gureishi’s worsening health. A total of six tankobon volumes were published in Japan. The manga is also available digitally in English on the Azuki manga app and service.
A TV anime adaptation from Satelight and Hornets was released in 2020, with Crunchyroll co-producing and currently streaming the series worldwide in select countries and territories.

Titan Manga licensed the Somali and the Forest Spirit manga for English release in March 2024. It describes the main synopsis of the first volume as:
Explore a world from the hit anime of the same name, a world ruled by goblins, spirits, golems, and all types of strange creatures… but not humans, who were nearly persecuted to extinction for their reckless disregard of the natural world.
When a golem, a guardian of the forest chances across a young girl lost in the woods, he vows to take care of her… despite his life coming to an end. He must find other humans for her to live with, but in a world that despises them, is that even possible?
The fifth volume is now available to pre-order from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, and Forbidden Planet in the U.K. and Europe.
