A second teaser video for the Sakamoto Days live-action movie is out, showing events like Sakamoto’s wedding and a bullet bouncing off his glasses.
The movie comes out on April 29 in Japan.
The original Sakamoto Days manga by Yuto Suzuki started serialization in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has 25 volumes as of December 2025. Viz Media describes the manga as such:
Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
A TV anime adaptation aired in 2025 with two split cours. A second season was announced last December.
