Newcastle Jets Head Coach Mark Milligan has been named Coach of the Month in the Isuzu UTE A-League for January.
The Jets boss has taken out the third coaching honour of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season after Auckland FC’s Steve Corica scooped the award for December.
Milligan guided his side to five wins in January as they surged to the top of the Isuzu UTE A-League ladder.

Newcastle are two points clear of Sydney FC at the top of the ladder having played 15 games this season.
Milligan was nominated for the January award via Football Coaches Australia’s monthly nomination process.
Australian Professional Leagues (APL) partnered with FCA in 2022-23 to help provide the recognition required for outstanding coaching performances across both the Isuzu UTE A-League and Ninja A-League.
The FCA assembled an experienced panel that decides the monthly nominees and then subsequent winners for Coach of the Month in both leagues.
The January eligibility period included Rounds 11-15 of the Isuzu UTE A-League season, with games between January 1 and February 1 considered by the FCA Panel when voting for the Coach of the Month nominees.
Milligan and his side had a perfect record in January, chalking up five-straight wins against Auckland FC, Melbourne City, Western Sydney Wanderers, Wellington Phoenix and Brisbane Roar.
