Rooted in Indian heritage and shaped by their lives in Kenya, Neha Desai and Vatsal Dave’s destination wedding unfolded as a thoughtfully curated three-day celebration at the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai, brought to life by the planning and design team at WeddingSutra Favorite – Splendid Surprise Luxury Weddings. With the Arabian coastline as its backdrop, the wedding reflected a seamless blend of warmth, elegance and contemporary design, with every detail shaped by intention and personality.
The celebrations began with an intimate welcome dinner styled in a boho-inspired theme. Guests were welcomed through a thoughtfully designed entrance that set the tone for the evening, leading into a space layered with natural textures, warm lighting and relaxed décor elements. The atmosphere felt calm, inviting and conversational, creating an effortless start to the festivities. “We wanted the first evening to feel welcoming and easy, while still introducing the aesthetic language of the wedding,” shared Aarefa Ahmedabadwala from Splendid Surprise Luxury Weddings.
The haldi ceremony the following morning was vibrant and playful, inspired by fruits and parrots and brought to life through a fresh palette of greens and pinks. Lush floral arrangements, bright accents and natural elements created a joyful setting that felt celebratory and full of energy.
The evening wedding unfolded in a more refined and ethereal setting. A candle-lit arch marked the entrance, creating a striking visual as dusk set in. The ceremony took place under a sleek acrylic mandap, allowing the design to feel contemporary while remaining light and understated. Across all three days, the décor was executed exclusively using fresh flowers, lending a sense of natural luxury and visual continuity throughout the celebrations. “Fresh florals were central to the design narrative. They bring softness, richness and a timeless quality to every space,” noted Pramod Manerikar from Splendid Surprise Luxury Weddings.
The wedding night transitioned into a high-energy afterparty with a casino-themed concept, where bold styling and dynamic music by DJ transformed the setting into a spirited celebration.
The final day concluded with a glamorous reception. Neha and Vatsal performed their first dance alongside an Indofusion band, setting an emotional and celebratory tone for the evening. As the night progressed, the DJ took over, keeping the dance floor alive until the very end.
