Shaan Shahid’s Latest Statement About Working in India

Shaan Shahid is a celebrated Pakistani film star known for his numerous hit and action-packed films, including Waar, Khuda Kay Liye, Zarrar, Yalghaar, Nikah, Majajan, Zille Shah, Mujhe Chaand Chahiye, Sangam, and others. He belongs to a renowned showbiz family—his father, Riaz Shahid, was a legendary Pakistani director who had a deep love for Pakistan, while his mother, Neelo Begum, was also an established actress. Currently, the actor is busy shooting his upcoming film. He has always been praised for his patriotic stance and for preferring to work in Pakistan.

Recently, Shaan Shahid once again opened up about working in India during a press conference for his upcoming film Bhullah, which also stars Mona Lisa.

Talking about the issue, Shaan Shahid said, “I don’t work in India because my father’s name is Riaz Shahid. Had her father’s name been Riaz Shahid, she would have also refused to work in India. This is my personal opinion, and I am not imposing it on anyone else—it is purely my individual decision. I have refused to work there, but I am not against others doing so. I believe artists should work wherever they can, especially because the survival of artists in Pakistan has become very difficult. I have personal issues due to which I don’t want to work in India, mainly because of Kashmir. I am not against Ali Zafar or Mona Lisa working in India, but please don’t ask me to do so.”
