The Dragon Ball Super anime series has announced a new project: Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. It was announced at the “Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri” event in Japan during the “Exclusive Announcements! GENKIDASTAGE Part 2.” A trailer and visual were released during the announcement. The series is set to premiere in Fall 2026.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is a remastered version of the first season of the Dragon Ball Super series, with the visuals being more “enhanced” and immersive.”
Dragon Ball Super is the current and ongoing anime adaptation of Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Super manga. The series ran from July 2015 to 2018, concluding with the “Universal Survival” arc. The series’ latest arc, Dragon Ball Super: THE GALACTIC PATROL, was also announced during the “Dragon Ball Matsuri.”
The Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri is an event held at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan, to end the 40th anniversary celebration of the late Akira Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball manga series. The manga has inspired several video games, spin-offs, films, and anime series, including recent anime adaptations, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Daima.
