Asim Mehmood is a versatile Pakistani television actor who rose to fame through his popular TV drama series Sun Yara. Fans loved his comic role and poetry in the drama. His other notable television dramas are Bharosa Pyar Tera, Rang Mehal, Tere Bin, Baby, Gila Kis Say Karain, Aao Lout Chalain, Ali Ki Ammi,Qarz,Umeed and others. Last week, Asim Mehmood’s mother passed away in Lahore, she was suffering from cancer.
Today, Asim Mehmood appeared in Samaa TV’s morning show Subh Ka Samaa, hosted by Madeha Naqvi. In the show, Asim Mehmood talked about the heartbreaking loss of his mother.
Talking about it, Asim Mehmood said, “I never felt what it’s like to lose a parent before my mother’s death. Even though she was a cancer patient and the doctors didn’t give us any hopes, I was still hopeful about her health. I kept praying for a miracle. I thought I could bear the news, but when my Baji told me, I completely lost it. She passed away on my birthday—I had been fearing it for two days, thinking it might happen on this day. She was unconscious but still breathing. When I heard it, I lost all calm. I don’t think a single moment has passed since without me crying.I didn’t know how my night passed. I was thinking about her during the flight. I spent 15 days with her in December when she was hospitalized. Those 15 days are more precious to me than my whole life, because I shared all my feelings with my mother, and she showered her love on me. I told her how important she was to me and asked her to forgive me for any negligence on my part. My mother also kissed me when I gave her my attention, time, and love.
