Pakistan and India to Face Each Other Twice on 15 February

Cricket fans, especially supporters of Pakistan’s green shirts, are in for an extraordinary and historic day on February 15, when Pakistan and India will face each other twice in a single day.

While Pakistan and India have previously played each other twice in the same tournament, this will be the first time in cricket history where two separate Pakistan teams compete against their traditional rivals on the same day.

Cricket experts are already calling February 15 a remarkable and historic date. Although England and Australia are considered cricket’s oldest rivals, matches between Pakistan and India consistently generate the highest global excitement and viewership, both on television and online.

The first of the two matches will take place in Colombo, where Pakistan and India will clash in a high-profile encounter during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which begins on February 7 and is jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

On the same day, a second Pakistan–India contest will be played in Bangkok, where the two nations’ women’s teams will face off in the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament. The Asian Cricket Council has officially released the schedule for this event.

The Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars, an eight-team T20 tournament, will be held from February 13 to February 22 in Bangkok, Thailand. The teams are divided into two groups of four, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the semifinals.

Pakistan and India are placed in Group A alongside the United Arab Emirates and Nepal, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and host Thailand.

Pakistan’s women’s team will begin their campaign on February 13 against Nepal, while their final group-stage match will be played on February 17 against the UAE. The group stage will conclude on February 18, followed by the semifinals on February 20. The tournament final is scheduled for February 22.
