A boy has suffered serious leg injuries in a shark attack in Sydney’s east.
The boy, believed to be aged about 12, was bitten by a shark near Shark Beach about 4.20pm on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to Hermitage Foreshore Walk on Steele Point Rd in Vaucluse, where the boy was treated at the scene.

He is expected to be airlifted to hospital.
The beach has since been closed and swimmers are being advised to avoid the water.
