Yen Press Licenses 7 New Manga & Novel Titles, Launches The Summer Hikaru Died Audiobook

Yen Press has announced seven new license acquisitions for release in July 2026, which includes the romance light novel series Love Unseen Beneath the Radiant Night Sky, and the launch of an audiobook series for The Summer Hikaru Died

The Summer Hikaru Died

Original Story: Mokumokuren

The audiobook adaptation for The Summer Hikaru Died novel series will debut in July 2026. A voice cast will be announced at a later date. 

Yen Press also releases the original manga series and novelization in English. A 12-episode TV anime series aired in Japan from July 2025 to September 2025 and was streamed globally by Netflix. A second season was also announced after the broadcast of season one’s final episode. 

Synopsis

The bond between Yoshiki and Hikaru is a welcome escape from their isolated village. But one day when the two boys meet up, Yoshiki can immediately tell something is off. Though the person standing before him looks and acts exactly like Hikaru, Yoshiki knows that his friend is…gone. Someone—no, something has taken Hikaru’s place. And with so many eerie incidents happening in town lately, Yoshiki is becoming increasingly conflicted.
