Wrexham’s ‘top’ squad determined to deliver success – Ben Sheaf

Wrexham return to league action against Norwich City on Saturday (15:00 GMT) on the back of an eye-catching victory over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.

Parkinson’s men beat Sean Dyche’s Premier League side 4-3 on penalties following a 3-3 draw between the sides – and Sheaf feels the hosts were worthy winners at the Stok Cae Ras.

“It was definitely a memorable night for the club and I think we deserved to go through,” said Sheaf.

“The atmosphere and the night itself was definitely a memorable one, so we’re into the next round and looking forward to hopefully progressing through the next game as well.”

Wrexham’s reward for dumping out Forest is a home fourth-round tie against Championship promotion hopefuls Ipswich Town.

“It’s a tough draw. They’re going well in the league at the moment. I think they’re finding their rhythm a little bit,” Sheaf added.

“But being at home and our record here of late, that’s definitely going to give us an advantage. They’re a top team, it’ll be a tough game, but we’re looking forward to it.”
