Dearest reader, the countdown to Bridgerton season four is officially on, and fans have a new reason to get excited. The show has revealed the classical covers that will feature in episode one—and they include a familiar face returning to the Regency-era soundtrack.
If you’ve watched the first three seasons, you’ll know that music plays a particularly important role in the Bridgerton universe. Until this point, instrumental renditions of hits from Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’ to Taylor Swift’s ‘Wildest Dreams’ have laid the grounds for some of the most romantic declarations we’ve seen on screen in some time. So, which hits will be transformed into elegant Regency-era scores in season four? Everything we know about the soundtrack, below.
Episode one
Episode one kicks off the season with a return from a familiar face: Pitbull. Fans of the series might remember his cameo in season three, where his instrumental take on “Give Me Everything” set the scene for a pivotal carriage moment alongside Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer. This time, the regally orchestrated soundtrack will feature Pitbull in a classical interpretation of Usher’s ‘DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love.’ Hit after hit.
Episode one also features classical takes on Coldplay’s ‘Life in Technicolor’ and Third Eye Blind’s ‘Never Let You Go.’ Coldplay’s sweeping anthem has been transformed into an elegant orchestral piece, perfect for the grandeur of Bridgerton’s ballrooms (and perhaps a masquerade ball, dare we suggest?), while Third Eye Blind’s 90s hit is reimagined as a delicate, string-led arrangement, ideal for secret glances and a whole lot of yearning.
