Since 1975, this group of buddies from North Penn High School have reunited on the day after Thanksgiving for a game of street hockey.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — Whether it’s 1975 or 2025, their instructions are the same: meet at Fellowship Park the day after Thanksgiving to play hockey.

It started as a way for friends from North Penn High School’s Class of 1975 to reunite after entering college.

Some had played hockey as their school sport. Others joined in on the street just for fun.

They remember the Philadelphia Flyers’ back-to-back Stanley Cup victories generating excitement about the game.

After that first year, the tradition stuck. And they have no plans to stop.

Watch the video above to see how it’s about more than just a game.
