Sometimes, the hustle and bustle of modern living can all be a bit…much. You need a getaway, somewhere that’s completely off-grid, but still gives you all the vibes of a luxury vacay—what you’re looking for is a tiny house.
Everything is in one (small) space, so you can kick back, relax, and enjoy some me-time. And just to make life easy for you, we’ve rounded up the best tiny houses South East Queensland has to offer.

Pumpenbil
Cob Cabin
Confession time. Cob Cabin is just over the South East Queensland border in NSW but it’s so adorbs that we just had to include it on the list. This hand-crafted tiny home is set on a small farm and features earthen cob walls, recycled timber, antique Indian doors and—importantly—the best stone outdoor bath. Crack open the bubbles, head out there and prepare to relax while drinking in the panoramic views of Mt Warning. Later, you can fire up the barbecue or whip up a snack in the gorgeously rustic kitchen.
Your Airbnb hosts are aiming towards self-sufficiency, which means there’s plenty of animals to see: think milking goats, two Jersey cows, ducks, chooks and geese. There’s also a fruit orchard and veggie garden on site (tours are available on request). With 12-acres of farm around you, you’ll feel a world away from urban life, but if you fancy a poke around town, you’ll find you’re only a ten-minute drive from historic Tyalgum and bustling Byron is about 90 minutes away.
