1,463 Student-Athletes Earn Spot on Fall/Winter 2025 MASCAC All-Academic

A total of 1,463 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall/Winter 2025 All-Academic team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Student-athletes who compete in championship varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the Fall and Winter 2025 athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to the Fall/Winter All-Academic. 

On the Fall/Winter 2025 MASCAC All-Academic Team, Worcester State led the way with 16 percent of the total number of student-athletes while Bridgewater State University and Westfield State University were right behind at 13 percent. Framingham State University landed at 10 percent and Fitchburg State University at nine percent. Anna Maria College and Salem State University finished with eight, Massachusetts Maritime had six and MCLA five percent of all student-athletes on this year’s team.

“I congratulate the student-athletes named to the 2025 MASCAC Fall/Winter All-Academic Team,” Commissioner Baumann said. “These honorees represent the very best of the MASCAC, demonstrating an exceptional commitment to academic excellence while competing at a high level in their respective sports.”

The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, the nation’s oldest Division III men’s and women’s playing conference, has a rich and storied tradition of competitive success while celebrating excellence in the classroom. MASCAC member schools include Bridgewater State University, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, MCLA, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State University, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. Two other institutions, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Plymouth State University, are affiliate members of the conference in the sports of football and men’s ice hockey. Springfield College joined as men’s golf affiliates in 2019 with Marymount and Marywood beginning in 2024. Anna Maria and Rivier became affiliates in men’s and women’s ice hockey in 2024. Anna Maria became our ninth core member in 2025. Dean joined as a football affiliate in 2025.
