Turn-Based Horror RPG ‘House of Necrosis’ Now Available [Trailer]

While mobile users have the upcoming Resident Evil Survival Unit to get their strategy fix, Steam users, on the other hand, now have
Warkus’ turn-based RPG House of Necrosis, which is out now with a 10% launch discount until October 13. There’s also a demo on Steam, and you can also check out the demo out on itch.io.

Created by the same dev behind Harvest Festival 64 (which you can also find on itch.io), and inspired by the early 3D Survival Horror games of the 90s (like a certain Capcom game), players enter a vaguely-familiar mansion that changes every time you enter. Said mansion is also crawling with zombies. As a result, you’ll be cleaning up in turn-based dungeon-crawling, as well as getting your tank-control fix in the hubworld, complete with pre-rendered backgrounds.

Unlike its Survival Horror inspiration, there are RPG elements to House of Necrosis, where you’ll be leveling up your character and upgrading your weapons. Not to mention that the turn-based battles feel very much like a certain Final Fantasy VII, complete with that aura effect when you use a healing item. And seeing as this is a dungeon crawler at heart, there are plenty of treasures and traps mixed in with the various horrors you’ll be facing.
