Based on Norwegian folklore, Troll was a massive hit for Netflix back in 2022, and the Norwegian monster movie gets a giant-sized sequel with Troll 2 on December 1, 2025.

This one’s going to be a monster mash, with Troll 2 pitting two giant Kaiju monsters up against each other. Watch the official trailer for Troll 2 below for a taste of the mayhem!

Original director Roar Uthaug (Tomb Raider, The Wave), writer Espen Aukan, and producers Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud of Motion Blur are back at the helm.

Ine Marie Wilmann, Kim Falck, and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen return to star in Troll 2, joined by fierce newcomer Sara Khorami to confront a terrifying new troll.

When a dangerous new troll is awakened, unleashing devastation across Norway, beloved adventurers Nora, Andreas and Captain Kris are thrust into their most perilous mission yet. To stop the creature’s ruthless rampage, they must enlist new allies and delve into the country’s ancient history, searching for answers.

As the clock ticks and the troll’s path of destruction grows wider, our heroes face impossible odds in their fight to save their homeland from falling into darkness.
