Two more new additional cast members have been announced for the upcoming There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan sometime in 2026.
The two new cast members joining the series include Ryohei Kimura as Yuga and Yuko Natsuyoshi as Mikana.
They join a previously announced main cast that stars Kohei Amasaki as Yoki and Kana Hanazawa as Cecilia.
Yasutaka Yamamoto (Actually, I Am director) is serving as chief director for the anime adaptation, with Tomonori Mine (Isekai Onsen Paradise) as director, Yukie Sugawara (Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again) as series screenwriter, and Mina Osawa (I Have a Crush at Work) as character designer. Gekkou is in charge of the animation production.
The series started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel by Suisei in 2013. It was then published as a light novel series, with illustrations from La-na, by Futabasha’s Monster Bunko imprint from October 30, 2014 to August 29, 2015. Three volumes being released in total. La-na is also credited as the anime’s original character designer.
The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Kairi in January 2021.
