Four new character visuals have been unveiled for the upcoming The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom TV anime series. The anime will premiere in Japan in January 2026.
The new character visuals showcase the characters Tiararose, Aquasteed, Hartknights, and Akari.
Social media icons and phone wallpapers of the character visuals are also available on the anime’s official Twitter/X and website.

Takayuki Hamana (The Witch and the Beast, Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA Reflection) is directing the anime series, with Yoshimi Narita (Shikimori’s Not just a Cutie) as series screenwriter and Majiro (UniteUp! -Uni:Birth-) as character designer. Studio Deen is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast stars:
- • Mai Fuchigami as Tiararose Lapis Clamentile
- • Yuichiro Umehara as Aquasteed Marineforest
- • Takuya Sato as Hartknights Lapis-Lazuli Lactomuth
- • Yumiri Hanamori as Akari
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Puni-chan and illustrated by Akeno Naruse. It was first published under KADOKAWA’s B’S-Log Bunko label on October 15, 2016 and has released 14 volumes as of November 2023. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in March 2016.
The light novels have also inspired several spinoff light novels and manga, as well as an otome video game in March 2024. The anime’s current voice cast are reprising their roles from the game.

The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom follows the titular villainess Tiararose getting a proposal from Aquasteed, the crown prince of a neighboring nation, after her original engagement is called off.
