“Hell is not like what you think…”

We’re just weeks away from the release of Scott Derrickson’s eagerly anticipated sequel Black Phone 2.

Universal seem determined to not let us forget the date, as they’ve issued a third teaser for the movie, in a surprise move.

Emphasising the sequels much darker tone, the teaser focuses on Ethan Hawke’s iconic villain The Grabber. In a voice filled with menace and hatred, the character describes what it was like going to hell for his previous crimes.

This seemingly confirms that the character is now a fully supernatural being, and that his death during the 2021 original was final.

Of course, this raises many questions, not least how did the character escape his hellish prison to torment the Blake family again.

Undoubtedly this will all become clear when the film hits screens, which just makes us all-the-more excited!

Actors Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, Miguel Mora, and Ethan Hawke will reprise their roles from the original film. Black Phone 2 also includes new additions to the cast including Demián Bichir, Anna Lorre, and Arianna Rivas.

The movie will open worldwide on October 17th 2025. Undoubtedly, Blumhouse Productions are keeping the faith that it will be their much-sought-after hit this year, following a string of box-office disappointments.

Only time will tell!
