As someone who consumes true crime programming with a certain regularity, I tend to find unsolved cold cases particularly compelling. The uncertainty makes my mind race as I take in all of the pertinent details and try to put the pieces of the puzzle together like a good armchair detective.
There’s a part of my mind that really seems to believe that if I watch closely enough, maybe, just maybe, I can piece together something the authorities have overlooked. So far, I have yet to crack any cold cases. Yet, that has done little to dampen my resolve. I keep tuning in with undying optimism as new programming drops.
If you share a similar interest in true crime and also enjoy diving into a cold case, you may want to check out the Netflix docu-series, Amy Bradley Is Missing. The program debuted in mid-July, and it’s still charting in the top ten on the platform. It’s the #1 true crime series on Netflix today, and it sits in 9th place overall.
What’s the setup for Amy Bradley is missing?
March 24, 1998, Amy Lynn Bradley, 23, is enjoying a family cruise vacation when she suddenly vanishes without a trace. This twist-filled 3-part documentary series explores the theories and a family’s desperate search for the truth.
The show has been captivating armchair detectives, some of whom have their own theories about what really happened to the missing passenger. A number of intrigued viewers have hopped onto social media to posit theories, discuss their outrage over the way the case was handled, or, in some cases, swear off ever setting foot on a cruise ship.

As you can likely tell from those reactions, this is a case with many moving parts. It seems that the answers are few and far between. That makes this the kind of program likely to appeal to viewers who enjoy taking in the details and trying to put the pieces together. If the series sounds like it might be within your interest set, head over to Netflix to see what you think.
