SQUARE ENIX MUSIC has teamed up with illustrator Kunitaro and its very own Discord server to bring their mascot character to life!

The mysterious “Krystelle” originally made her debut on SQUARE ENIX MUSIC’s “Mellow Minstrel” chill mix by DJ Kenta in March 2022, and later snuck her way to the front of “Chill SQUARE ENIX MUSIC 24/7” livestream.

Earlier in the year, SQUARE ENIX MUSIC tapped on its Discord community to collaboratively breathe new life into Krystelle, who had by then become a mainstay for the brand. Members of the community were given iterations of Krystelle’s design, and encouraged to make suggestions about her name, hobbies, favorite food/drink, fashion style, and her special skills.

The top-voted ideas from the community were then incorporated into an all-new illustration by Kunitaro, giving Krystelle the identity she has today.

Krystelle can be seen, in her updated look, on the “Chill SQUARE ENIX MUSIC 24/7” livestream. Fans and members of the Discord community alike can expect to see more Kyrstelle on the horizon.
