There Is No Escape
by Jemma Joy
On a nice and windy Autumn day, Sophie was looking around for some ideas for her new movie. She wandered around some tiny stores for awhile and thought about what the name should be, Coffin with Cobwebs, sounded good. Suddenly she bumped into a small, cozy looking Halloween store that had a moldy sign saying ‘Closed’. A ghostly face was looking out the door, so she would visit it another day, sometime less gloomy. As Sophie walked home, she thought of that face she saw in the door.
The next morning, Sophie looked at the beautiful sunrise out her window, not knowing what lies in her future. Walking to her destination, she bumped into the Halloween store again, thinking it was closer than the day before. So she decided to walk in. There was everything from Animatronics, coffins, masks, pumpkins, witches, ghosts, to any Halloween item could ever imagine. A creepy old man walked up to her mumbled something to himself that sounded like “human”. He gestured for her to come with him, so she did and fell down a pit.
A couple hours later, she woke up and noticed she had hit her head pretty bad when she fell down the pit. Even worse, there were tons of gruesome, hairy, slimy creatures around her. She screamed, and tried to run, but she was stuck in a coffin! The monsters just kept getting closer and closer and closer. Then the creature with the spikey tail had a coffin lid in his hand and slowly nailed it on the one that Sophie was laying in. She cried for help, more and more and more! Sophie realized she was just the store’s next prop!
The End
