PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A longtime SEPTA employee is under arrest, accused of attempting to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex.
Eric Karch was taken into custody on Thursday after police say he traveled from Jenkintown to Bensalem on a SEPTA bus to meet someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
Investigators say Karch began chatting online with the girl on Sept. 6. The conversations allegedly continued into the following week, during which he asked her for nude photos and sent explicit images of himself.
Karch is facing multiple charges, including attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
SEPTA has launched its own internal investigation into the matter.
