Reze Arc Delivers New Trailer, Bumps Up North American Release Date

Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new trailer for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, available in English-subbed and -dubbed flavors. The trailer also reveals a new October 24 North American release date, bringing it a little forward from the original October 29 date.

Additionally, there’s a recap video of the 2022 Chainsaw Man TV anime, available subbed and dubbed as well, if you don’t have the time to watch the two-part Chainsaw Man – The Compilation on Crunchyroll or Ani-One Asia.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is set to premiere in Japan on September 19 JST, where it will also open in 61 IMAX locations. International screenings will also begin in September, after the Japanese premiere. Here’s the synopsis of the anime movie sequel:

Denji became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.

Chainsaw Man adapts the Shueisha-published supernatural action manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which Viz Media describes as such:

Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!

The manga’s first part was serialized from 2018 to 2021 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The current second part launched on the Shonen Jump+ app and website in July 2022. There are 22 volumes as of September 4, 2025 JST.
