A new visual has been unveiled for the ongoing Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus TV anime series, ahead of its 11th episode that will air on September 13, 2025, which starts the “Santa Claus arc.” The series first premiered in Japan on July 5, 2025 and will run for 13 episodes.

Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus includes several returning staff members, such as Soichi Masui as director, Masahiro Yokotani as series screenwriter, Satomi Tamura as character designer, and fox capture plan as music composer. CloverWorks is in charge of the animation production.

The Rascal Does Not Dream anime franchise began in 2018 with the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV series. It was followed up by three movies: 2019’s Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl and 2023’s Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid.
Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus is the latest anime entry in the series, which is based on the supernatural teen/young adult drama light novels written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi. The new series marks the start of the anime’s adaptation of the “University Arc.”
The light novel series, which is published under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint, was first published on April 10, 2014 and ended on October 10, 2024. A short story collection was also released in July 2025. The light novel series also inspired several manga adaptations. Yen Press releases the light novels and manga adaptations in English.
