I snapped the perfect photo of State Representative Liz Miranda. She was in her bag the entire interview casually moving off script to on script, touching on all her talking points while still doing her best to stay true to the narrative at hand.
She was regal in her delivery, exemplary in her posture…it was a moment I was able to capture with a single photograph. The snapshot that told the story of a woman that is destined for even more political success to come.
Shortly after our first meeting Liz shared the photo to her constituent and it quickly became one of her most virtual images on her social media amassing over 600 Instagram likes in mere minutes. I didn’t get the tag/credit but I did get her time which is far more valuable.

Elizabeth “Liz” Miranda is a Cape Verdean-American community organizer and politician. Since January 2019, Miranda has served as the Democratic Massachusetts State Representative for the Fifth Suffolk district. Her district comprises parts of the Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston.
