The official One Piece X (formerly Twitter) account has shared a look at Nico and Robin’s character sheets from the One Piece Heroines anime, previewing how their character designs have been interpreted for this new title (plus showing us their hairstyles and outfits). 

As previously revealed, the upcoming title’s character designer is Takashi Kojima, who has held the role in anime like Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation, Ride Your Wave, and The Colors Within.

Announced in August, One Piece Heroines is an adaptation of ONE PIECE novel HEROINES by by Jun Esaka (with illustrations by Sayaka Suwa). The source material, originally serialized in ONE PIECE magazine and also published in two volumes under Shueisha’s JUMP j BOOKS label, features short stories focused on female One Piece characters like Nami, Robin, Boa Hancock, Uta, and others.

Haruka Kamatani who has been involved with episode/unit direction throughout the franchise and is the co-director of Koisuru One Piece and Looking for Magical Doremi, is directing the new anime. Momoka Toyoda (My Happy Marriage Season 1 co-series composer) is handling the scriptwriting.

Viz Media publishes the ONE PIECE novel HEROINES books in English under the title One Piece Heroines. The volumes were originally released in Japanese between 2021 and 2024.
