Missing Songs Music Action Anime Coming in 2026

A new music action anime titled Ghost Concert: Missing Songs is set to begin airing in 2026.

In the anime, the year is 2045. Humans have been banned from creating music, and an application called MiueS has replaced composers and musicians. Seria Aiba (Minori Fujidera), a girl who can see and touch spirits, chances upon someone’s singing and, following it, finds herself discovering a ghost. Rina Hidaka also stars as Cleopatra VII, who appears to possess Seria’s body.

This development is followed in the teaser trailer by scenes of supernatural action and a preview of the song “RES∞NALIST,” which is performed by Fujidera and Hidaka in-character. The description of the premise doesn’t provide much help in providing context, but does mention an organization of people with spiritual powers called TERA and otherworldly figures called Great Ghosts.

Masato Jinbo (The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie, The Quintessential Quintuplets*, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2) is directing Ghost Concert: Missing Songs at ENGI. Jinbo is also the series composer. Masaaki Uikawa is handling the character designs, and Elements Garden’s Junpei Fujita, Seima Kondo, and Daisuke Horikawa are the music composers.

Ghost Concert: Missing Songs is inspired by the Ghost Concert project, which was announced in 2017 and has Symphogear co-creator Noriyasu Agematsu credited as executive producer. The project features characters like Mitsuhide Akechi, Marie Antoinette, Joan of Arc, Dracula, Billy the Kid, Rossweisse, Arthur Pendragon, and Hidaka’s Cleopatra VII. Elements Garden produces its music.
