“Manga Edition” Ghost in the Shell Motoko Kusanagi Figure Begins Pre-Orders

A 1/7 “Manga Edition” figure of Ghost in the Shell‘s Motoko Kusanagi is now available for pre-order.

The Ghost in the Shell (Manga Edition) – Motoko Kusanagi 1/7 Scale Figure, sculpted by Max Factory’s Chieri, is based on the first tankobon volume cover of the Ghost in the Shell manga. As such, it depicts the Major curled up on her side with a forest of cables and wires plugged into her (the official description says that “Actual cords are used for the cord details”), while she carries a pistol in her hands.

Other highlighted features include how the Major’s hair and boots are “aurora-plated like an optical camouflage,” as well as her expression’s ability to change according to the observer’s viewing angle. The figure is made of plastic, while the base is metal.

The Ghost in the Shell (Manga Edition) – Motoko Kusanagi 1/7 Scale Figure can be found at retailers like Good Smile Company, AmiAmi, and Tokyo Otaku Mode. Good Smile prices it at 29,800 yen (AmiAmi also lists this price)/US$186.99, while Tokyo Otaku Mode has it for US$248.99.

AmiAmi and Tokyo Otaku Mode say that the figure will be released in October 2026, with Good Smile Global also listing that time period for its shipping date. For Good Smile US, it estimates that it will arrive between December 31, 2026 to March 31, 2027.

Good Smile Global and Good Smile US lists November 26, 2025 as the pre-order cut-off date.

As of October 9, Tokyo Otaku Mode has announced that it has started to use ECMS shipping for the US, which “allows full prepayment of US tariffs for internationally shipped orders.” Good Smile announced on September 8 that that it had resumed shipping to the US and that the customs duty sum may be different as a result of the de minimis treatment’s suspension.

AmiAmi’s website has not yet provided any updates on US shipments since putting them on hold in August, following the suspension of the de minimis treatment.
