The official Lycoris Recoil X (formerly Twitter) account has dropped an illustration inspired by a scene from Episode 3, in which Chisato lifts Takina up and tells her that she’s glad they met.
The scene was voted number one in an official “famous scenes” poll conducted in July, with the runners-up being Takina and Chisato’s cute posing moment during their aquarium date in Episode 4 and Chisato stopping an enraged Takina from going after Shinji Yoshimatsu in Episode 12.

The illustration was posted on November 11 in Japan, which is commemorated as “Good Friend Day” (“Ii Tomo no Hi”) thanks to Japanese wordplay. According to the internet, this commemoration date was conceived by the entertainment company City Wave following the March 11, 2011 tsunami.
Lycoris Recoil is an original girls-with-guns action anime set in a Japan where teenage female agents called Lycoris preemptively eliminate threats to maintain peace. The TV anime aired during the Summer 2022 anime season and has become a multi-media IP with a manga adaptation, spin-off manga, spin-off light novels, and stage play.
April 2025 saw the launch of the Lycoris Recoil -Friends are thieves of time.- short anime series. Another anime project, which was announced in February 2023, is also in the works.
