Voice actress Kikuko Inoue has been cast as the voice of Melinda Desmond for the ongoing third season of SPY x FAMILY. The third season began airing in Japan on October 4, 2025.
Melinda, who is the wife of Donovan Desmond and mother of Damian, is expected to make an appearance in the anime’s 42nd overall episode (fifth episode of Season 3) on November 1, 2025.

She joins the anime’s main voice cast, which stars:
- • Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger
- • Saori Hayami as Yor Forger
- • Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger
- • Kenichiro Matsuda as Bond Forger
The returning staff for the third season include Yukiko Imai (storyboard artist and director for Season 1 Episode 8 and 20, Season 2 Episode 2) as director, Rino Yamazaki (The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity) as series screenwriter, and Kazuaki Shimada as character designer. WIT Studio and CloverWorks are in charge of the animation production.
The first season of SPY x FAMILY premiered in April 2022 and aired for two split cours, while the second season premiered in October 2023 and ran for one cour. The anime film SPY X FAMILY: Code: White was released in late 2023. Crunchyroll is streaming season three as it did for the previous two seasons.
The anime is based on the spy action comedy manga by Tatsuya Endo, which began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ on March 25, 2019. Sixteen tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of October 2025.
