Actor Keanu Reeves and director Tim Miller are attached to the unique sci-fi feature Shiver, and THR reports that Warner Bros. is in final negotiations to acquire it.
Splinter scribe Ian Shorr wrote the screenplay, which is said to be in the vein of Edge of Tomorrow and the shark thriller The Shallows.
The sci-fi film is said to center on “a ne’er-do-well smuggler who finds himself in the middle of a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea, resulting in him surrounded by bodies, hostile mercenaries, and thirsty sharks alike. He next finds himself in a deathly time loop and scrambling to break the cycle.”
Miller made his directorial feature debut with Deadpool. The filmmaker also helmed Terminator: Dark Fate and the Netflix series “Love, Death & Robots.” As for Reeves, the Constantine actor is fresh off the John Wick spinoff Ballerina.
Aaron Ryder is on board to produce along with Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, the Kingsman franchise).
