Japanese voice actors Kaito Ishikawa and Maaya Uchida have announced their marriage. The announcement was posted on their official X/Twitter accounts.

They posted a joint statement (translation by Japan Anime News) that says:

“To everyone,

We sincerely apologize for the sudden announcement, but we, Maaya Uchida and Kaito Ishikawa, have gotten married. We are deeply grateful to all the fans who have supported us and to everyone in the industry who has stood by us throughout our careers.

Thanks to the warm support we have received, we have been able to walk this path to date. As fellow professionals in the entertainment industry, we are precious to each other as we share mutual respect and understanding for our work. Through the time we have spent together, we came to strongly feel that we want to continue our lives side by side, which has led us to take this new step of marriage.

As we mark this new milestone in life, we will strive to carry even greater responsibility and grow both as human beings and as performers. Through married life, we hope to cultivate richer experiences and sensibilities that will enhance our future work. Though we are still learning, we ask for your continued support and guidance. We would be grateful if you could warmly watch over us.”

Maaya Uchida and Kaito Ishikawa are popular, well-known voice actors for their roles from different series. Uchida is well-known for roles such as The iDOM@STERCinderella Girls’ Ranko Kanzaki, The Rising of the Shield Hero’s Melty Q. Melromarc, and My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!’s Katarina Claes. She is the older sister of fellow voice actor Yuma Uchida.

Ishikawa is well-known for roles such as One Punch Man’s Genos, The Rising of the Shield Hero’s Naofumi Iwatani, and Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus’s Sakuta Azusagawa.
