In addition, a special event commemorating the anime’s 10th anniversary will be held at Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tachikawa City, Tokyo, on February 15, 2026. The event will feature voice actors Kengo Kawanishi, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Natsuki Hanae, Yuka Terasaki, and Hisako Kanemoto.
The Makuai no Kusabi anime short is set after the Arbrau election and sees the return of staff members such as director Tatsuyuki Nagai, writer Mari Okada (Iron Blooded Orphans series screenwriter), character designer Michinori Chiba, and mechanical designers Naohiro Washio and Kanetake Ebikawa.
Kawanishi and Hosoya are reprising their roles as Mika and Orga, respectively. Rina Ikoma has also been cast as Wistario Afam in Urdr-Hunt.
It was first announced in July 2025 that Urdr-Hunt -Path of the little Challenger- compilation film and Makuai no Kusabi would commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Iron-Blooded Orphans anime. The original Urdr Hunt was a spin-off game which included anime footage. Twelve episodes were released via the now-defunct smartphone app Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans G, with the first debuting in 2022. An Urdr-Hunt animation project was previously announced in November 2023.
Meanwhile, the returning staff (unless stated otherwise) from Iron-Blooded Orphans working on Urdr-Hunt -Path of the little Challenger- includes Tatsuyuki Nagai as director, Michihiro Tsuchiya (previously a scriptwriter) as special compilation screenwriter and scriptwriter, Hajime Kamoshida (previously a scriptwriter, and was series composer on Urdr-Hunt) as series supervisor, Yu Ito as original character designer, Michinori Chiba as character designer, and Hiroshi Arisawa as chief mechanical animator. Sunrise is in charge of the animation production.
Naohiro Washio, Kanetake Ebikawa, Ippei Gyobu, Tamotsu Shinohara, and Kenji Teraoka are all credited as mechanical designers.
