In addition to detailing the original pitch for their Hellraiser reboot, screenwriters Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski have teased their upcoming projects — including another horror remake.
The writing partners revealed to the Hellraiser: Revival Discord (as reported by Daily Dead) that they’re branching off into solo work.
“I’ve also got a couple big solo projects I’m working on that haven’t been announced yet,” said Piotrowski. “One of which is another very different but very exciting horror remake. The other is an adaptation of a recent horror novel.”
He adds, “I’ve also got an original film I’m hoping to direct. We’ll see what happens there.”
Collins, meanwhile, is reuniting with David Goyer’s Phantom Four Productions for a new film. “I’ve been writing a lot of new stuff, but the one I’m most pumped about right now is a psychological thriller I wrote called No Smoking, No Pets.”
Collins continues, “It’s an original screenplay and I’ve reunited with the team at Phantom 4 to produce. I can’t say too much but hopefully more will be announced soon.”
In addition to Hellraiser, Collins and Piotrowski have co-written The Night House, Super Dark Times, Siren, Stephanie, and She Rides Shotgun.
Piotrowski will publish the first issue of his dark fantasy revenge comic, Ferocious, on November 19 via Mad Cave Studios.
In the six-issue series, a young man swears vengeance on the draconic warrior woman who laid waste to his entire village. But in order to claim it, he’ll have to seek training… from the warrior woman herself.
