A new trailer and cast member have been revealed for the upcoming Hana-Kimi TV anime series, which will begin broadcasting in Japan on January 4, 2025.
The newest trailer highlights the opening theme song “Adrena” and ending theme song “Baby, ” which are both performed by YOASOBI.
Crunchyroll also released an English-subtitled version of the trailer.
In addition, voice actor Satoshi Hino is joining the series as Makoto Kagurazaka.
He joins a previously announced voice cast that stars:

Natsuki Takemura is directing the anime series, with Shigeru Ueda as assistant director, Takao Yoshioka (2.5 Dimensional Seduction) as series composer, and Shiyi Su (Dragon Goes House-Hunting) as character designer. Signal.MD is handling the animation production for the series.
The original shojo romance manga series by the late Hisaya Nakajo ran in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine from September 20, 1996 to August 20, 2004. A total of 23 tankobon volumes were published in Japan, as well as 12 aizoban volumes.
The manga inspired a 2006 Taiwanese drama, two Japanese dramas in 2007 and 2011, and a 2012 Korean drama.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide in select countries and territories, which include North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India.

Viz Media releases the Hana-Kimi manga series in English, and describes the main synopsis as:
Japanese-American track-and-field star Mizuki has gotten herself to transfer to a high school in Japan…but not just any school! To be close to her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano, she’s going to an all-guys’ high school…and disguising herself as a boy! But as fate would have it, they’re more than classmates…they’re roommates! Now, Mizuki must keep her secret in the classroom, the locker room, and her own bedroom. And her classmates–and the school nurse–must cope with a new transfer student who may make them question their own orientation…
