ArieScope Pictures has released its 27th annual Halloween short film, “Halloween Hangover: A Star Wars Story.”

Streaming below, the project reunites Hatchet filmmaker Adam Green and star Joel David Moore (Avatar).

In the six-minute short, Imperial Stormtrooper TK-421 undergoes an intense interrogation by the Galactic Empire.

Much like how Rogue One filled in gaps in the lore from before A New Hope, Halloween Hangover answers an age-old question following the destruction of the original Death Star.

Several more of Green’s frequent collaborators are involved in the production, including cinematographer Will Barratt, special effects artist Robert Pendergraft, and actress Laura Ortiz-Woods (The Hills Have Eyes).

Green recently wrapped production on his first feature since 2017, Ascent, a survival thriller about a group of friends stranded on a hot air balloon 3,000 feet in the air.
