‘Hades II’ Leaving Early Access, Launching on Switch, Switch 2 and PC on September 25 [Trailer]

After over a year in Early Access, developer Supergiant Games has announced that Hades II will be leaving the service and launching in full on September 25 for Steam, the Epic Games Store, the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Those who already have Hades II in Early Access will be given a free automatic update to v1.0, while new players will be able to purchase the game digitally at the current price.

Among the additions coming in v1.0, Hades II will have cross-save compatibility between the Switch and Switch 2 versions, as well as the PC versions. You’ll be able to make the transfer via an in-game menu.

Hades II is our team’s first-ever sequel, and we’ve been giving it everything we’ve got for more than four and a half years,” reads the post from Supergiant. “Since May of 2024, we’ve been developing in Early Access, taking feedback from our player community to try and fully realize this game’s potential. The result is the biggest game we’ve ever made, and one we hope you’ll find to be a worthy successor to its namesake.”

In this sequel to the 2020 action RPG, you play as the immortal Princess of the Underworld. You’ll explore a bigger, deeper mythic world, vanquishing the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus behind you, in a sweeping story that continually unfolds through your every setback and accomplishment.
