Girls Band Cry Reveals New Trailer & Visual for 2nd Compilation Film, Collabs with ZOMBIE LAND SAGA

A new trailer and visual have been revealed for the upcoming second compilation film of Girls Band Cry. The second part, titled Naa, Mirai., will screen on November 14, 2025, while the first compilation film, Seishun Kyosоkyoku, will premiere in Japanese theaters on October 3, 2025.

The new trailer highlights the theme song “Arrow” by Togenashi Togerari

Additionally, ahead of the premiere of Girls Band Cry’s Seishun Kyosоkyoku, the anime series collaborated with ZOMBIE LAND SAGA’s upcoming new anime film ZOMBIE LAND SAGA: Yumeginga Paradise, which will be released on October 24, 2025, on a new visual and two special videos.

The two videos feature the respective voice actresses of heroines Sakura Minamoto and Nina Iseri swapping roles and voicing each other’s characters in the first few minutes of each show’s debut episode. 

Kazuo Sakai returns to direct the compilation films, with Jukki Hanada as screenwriter and scriptwriter, Nari Teshima as character designer, and Jaehoon Jung and Daiki Nakazawa (The First Slam Dunk) as co-CG directors. Toei Animation is handling the animation production once again. 

Meanwhile, the returning voice cast members from the TV anime series include:

  • • Rina as vocalist Nina Iseri
  • • Yuri as guitarist Momoka Kawaragi 
  • • Mirei as drummer Subaru Awa 
  • • Nagito as keyboardist Tomo Ebizuka
  • • Shuri as bassist Rupa

Girls Band Cry is part of a wider mixed-media project that includes animated music videos, singles, live performances, and merchandise. The members of Girls Band Cry‘s first band, Togenashi Togeari, had no prior professional experience.

The Girls Band Cry TV anime series debuted in Japan in April 2024 and aired for 13 total episodes. A new anime film project was announced last month

The series was streamed on France’s Animation Digital Network and South Korea’s Aniplus, and later became available in Indonesia via the CATCHPLAY+ streaming platform and North America via several digital release platforms.

Crunchyroll later licensed Girls Band Cry for streaming in select countries and territories, and describes the main synopsis as: 

Feeling out of place in the countryside, high school dropout Nina Iseri moves to Tokyo. After a rough first day and getting locked out of her apartment, she meets her favorite guitarist, Momoka Kawaragi. The two put on a street performance together and decide to start a band with three other girls. While each girl faces her own struggles, their passion for music keeps their dreams alive.
