Fire Force Season 3 Part 2 Spotlights Shinra & Arthur in New Key Visual

Crunchyroll has unveiled a new teaser key visual for the upcoming Fire Force Season 3 Part 2 during its showcase panel at New York Comic Con 2025. The second cour of the third season is expected to begin broadcasting in Japan on January 9, 2026.

Tatsuma Minamikawa (since Season 2) is directing the third season of Fire Force, with Hideyuki Morioka (since Season 1) as character designer, Sei Tsuguta (Undead Unluck and Sk8 the Infinity Extra Part co-scriptwriter) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Mika Yamamoto (Tiger & Bunny: The Rising co-character designer) as sub-character designer, Naoko Sato (since Season 1) as color designer, Yumi Horikoshi (86 Eighty Six co-background art director) as background art director, Koji Kodera (RWBY Ice Queendom modeling set-up, Urusei Yatsura remake 3DCGI animator) as CG director, Ryo Ohashi (previously just credited under “VFX”) as VFX supervisor, and Natsuki Takei (Season 1 assistant compositing director, Season 2 co-assistant compositing director) as compositing director. David production is in charge of the animation production once again after working on previous seasons. 

Fire Force Season 3’s first cour premiered in April 2025, almost five years after Season 2’s 2020 premiere. Two 24-episode seasons were previously released. The first season aired from July 6, 2019 to December 28, 2019. The second season aired from July 4, 2020 to December 12, 2020.

The anime is based on Atsushi Ohkubo’s manga of the same name, which ran in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from September 23, 2015 to February 22, 2022. A total of 34 tankobon volumes were released. Kodansha USA releases the series in English for North America.

Crunchyroll licensed the Fire Force anime for worldwide streaming. It describes the main synopsis of the first season as: 

Tokyo is burning, and citizens are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous human combustion all throughout the city! Responsible for snuffing out this inferno is the Fire Force, and Shinra is ready to join their fight.

Now, as part of Company 8, he’ll use his devil’s footprints to help keep the city from turning to ash! But his past and a burning secret behind the scenes could set everything ablaze.
