The upcoming TV anime adaptation of the Draw This, Then Die manga has gotten a teaser trailer and a 2026 release date. The former gives us a look at manga-loving protagonist Ai Yasumi, her teacher Rei Teshima, and Ai’s imaginary friend Robota.
It was also revealed that Hiroaki Akagi (The Dangers in My Heart) is directing the anime at Shin-Ei Animation.
The Draw This, Then Die (Kore Kaite Shine) manga follows Ai Yasumi, a high school student from Izu Oshima island (the birthplace of creator Minoru Toyoda) who begins to consider creating manga after a certain incident. It began in 2021 and will release its eighth volume on October 10, 2026 JST. It is is serialized in Shogakukan’s Gessan.
