Following a teaser visual that featured a bunch of storyboard sheets, the Dorohedoro anime sequel has now received a key visual that sports an illustration from returning character designer Tomohiro Kishi.
It was also revealed that the show is coming in spring 2026, and it’ll debut globally via streaming around the same time.

The first Dorohedoro season aired in 2020 and can be found on Netflix. The sequel was announced in January 2024. The anime is based on the violent, Shogakukan-published fantasy manga by Q Hayashida, which was serialized from 2000 to 2018 and has been collected into 23 tankobon volumes. Viz Media describes it as such:
In a city so dismal it’s known only as “the Hole,” a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious “experiments” in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they’re hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they’ll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of “cleaners” into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
Director Yuichiro Hayashi (Attack on Titan Final Season) and animation production studio MAPPA are also returning for the sequel. The first season’s staff credits include Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan Final Season) as series composer and Yuki Nomoto as 3DCG director.
The manga debuted in the now-defunct Monthly IKKI. It later moved to the also-now-defunct Hibana before ending in Monthly Shonen Sunday.
