The main voice cast and staff have been revealed for the previously announced short anime adaptation of Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, which will premiere in Japan in January 2026.
The on-air voice cast for the series includes Ayaka Shimizu as Akane Tsuda and Marika Hayase as Nadeshiko. Aogiri High School VTuber Komaru Kurikoma has also been cast in a guest role as Ito-san.
Neko B is directing and writing the screenplay for the short anime series, with Mitsuru Tsukiumi as character designer and color designer and ZincP as music composer. Nyan Pollution-ω- is in charge of the animation production.
Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? is the fourth anime title to fall under WWWave Corporation‘s Deregula label (which is inspired by the word “deregulation”), after Makina-san’s a Love Bot?!, Yandere Dark Elf, and Hitozuma no Kuchibiru.
The original manga by Yakinikuteishoku has been serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime since July 16, 2021. Six tankobon volumes have been released as of May 2025.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for English release, and describes the main synopsis as:
Beautiful, brainy Tsuda Akane is indispensable at the robotics manufacturer where she works, but her colleagues never saw her private side. At home, Akane’s a hot mess with an apartment that looks more like a landfill than a living space. When she drunkenly orders a maid to help her tidy up, the lady android who arrives is a horny hottie who’s about to give Akane more service than she bargained for!
