Digimon Story Time Stranger Releases Anime Prelude

The anime prelude for the recently released Digimon Story Time Stranger RPG has premiered on YouTube, providing a four-minute animated companion to the game.

The anime short features the game’s theme song “wherever you are” and primarily follows Inori’s younger brother “just before the main story’s events” as he gets caught in an event that befalls the city. Deputymon has a large presence as well.

Digimon Story Time Stranger was released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam on October 3. The premise sees a special agent being unwittingly sent eight years into the past after an explosion, and they have to “uncover the mystery of the world’s collapse, where chance encounters with unique characters will shape your journey across time and parallel worlds – and change fate itself.”

Says the game’s Steam page:

Digimon Story Time Stranger is an RPG with monster-taming elements that explores the deep bond between humans and Digimon in an epic story that unravels the mystery of the world’s collapse.

Embark on an adventure that spans across the human world and Digital World, collecting and raising a diverse array of Digimon to fight in turn-based battles.

Digimon Story Time Stranger is developed by Media Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It’s the latest game in the Digimon franchise and also the latest in the Digimon Story series.
